On arrival at scene the Lifeboat encountered
a small fishing vessel with two fishermen, who had recovered the
casualty on board their vessel. The crew transferred the
casualty to the lifeboat and administered first aid, and made
for Creevy Pier where they were met by the ambulance service.
Rescue 118 also on scene. |

Surfers in difficulty at the main beach |

Boat launched and was on scene within two
minutes. There was no sign of anyone in difficulty and after
some discussion with surfers in the area it was established that
the two casualties were caught in a rip but had managed to make
their way to shore safe and well. |

getting under way. |

Lifeboat went to scene and put two crew ashore to assess the
situation where it was found the casualties had made their way
to safety. |

Swimmers in difficulty at the main beach. |

On scene Lifeboat crew found beach lifeguards in the water
along with one casualty. The crew took the casualty and one of
the lifeguards aboard in heavy swell. The other lifeguard made
it ashore on his rescue board. It was established that the
lifeguards had taken the other swimmers from the water, and that
all were safe and well. The two were then taken to the boathouse
where the casualty was treated for hypothermia and transferred
to ambulance crews along with the other swimmers who were
brought to the boathouse. Rescue 118 also on scene to transfer
if required. |

Kayaker unaccounted for |

Boat launched to carry out search for a
person in a kayak that was believed to be in difficulty. After
searching immediate area with no result the search was extended
and the lone kayaker was found safe and well 4 miles offshore,
in no distress, by rescue 118. Lifeboat crew checked on the
condition of the casualty and returned to station. |

Vessel dragging anchor off Mermaids Cove |

Small vessel with engine failure dragging its
anchor half mile off shore in weserly F 5. Towed the boat to
Mullaghmore Harbour and assisted with recovery. |

Boat broke down off Creevy |

Towed the vessel into Creevy and returned to
station. |

reach casualty due to very low tide. Vessel got under way by own
power, Lifeboat stood by until vessel recovered. |
